time to open the presents!!!

Look at their faces!!! happy, anxious, excited and curious.

Starting off with the youngest member baby K, he enjoyed opening up the presents but
doesn't seem to be very interested with it.

WW is happy to receive her dough dough set.

K received a lot of presents and is very happy to open up and admiring it.
Her favourite has to be her Mari chan doll's accesories.

Here with have MM before the presents are opened. She got herself Hello Kitty box from teacher Hazel, a pencil box, a sushi making set, a canvas painting and a DVD.
Hope everyone loves their presents.

Merry X'mas

Hi there, here wishing everyone a Happy Merry X'mas!!!
I am down with terrible flu and sore throat. It's no fun at all.
I hardly can sit down and scrap or do something I like. Not even eating some good food.

However with the pic you can see that the children are having fun.
can't wait for them to wake up on Christmas day to open the presents.

I love Hello Kitty

I do I really love Hello Kitty. So I decided to make a Hello Kitty Christmas card for a friend.
(who happen to be a Hello Kitty craze).

This card is a little special because I did a little 'pop' up for the card.
For your information this is a four inch by four inch card.
I used October Afternoom christmas paper.
The Hello Kitty is a postcard that I bought in 7 eleven in Singapore.
This is the one and only christmas card I made for a year.
Shall not go much in detail how I do it.

A very simple cover that is very christmasy.....
Adding a little bling to make the snow flakes shine....

The card is taken in another angle to show the pop up effect.
Hope you enjoy viewing it.

Need ideas for making christmas tags?

Here is my take on how to make this simple yet lovely tag.
materials needed:

3 inch circle punch

small size dollies

christmas pattern paper or christmas sticker.

All you have to do is to punch out or cut out 3 inch circle and paste it on the dollies.

In the circle you can have a variety of ideas to deocrate it.

I cut out christmas trees and snowman and paste some snow flakes all around.

Another method is using those christmas stickers and paste accordingly.

below are some of the tags that I made and given it away to my friends.

Do give it a try. Only 6 more days to Christmas.

I made this using the Hello Kitty stickers bought in Japan.

using October Afternoon christmas stamps, pattern paper and stickers from friend.

pattern paper from Basic Grey and october afternoon stamp.
or if you are running out time, do drop by this blog for those lovely tags.

so you want to be a chief

MM was so excited with the event that was held in school.
She asked everyone: "Are you coming to my restaurant tomorrow?"
so it ended everyone in the family except grandma turned up at her school.

We all came punctually at 5pm but was only allowed to enter after 5.30pm. A waiter ushered us to the table and handed us a menu. There are 2 types of set meal. A sandwich set which comes with a seaweed potatoes chip and ice lemon tea or we can opt for the sushi roll with miso soup.In total we placed 4 sets each costing SGD1.

Looking shy and excited is MM and her friend. Can you see the boxes of sushi in front of them?

A lovely drawn menu by the students.

everyone crowding around the booth waiting for their food.

Even our youngest member K with WW asking MM to serve quickly. they are getting hungry.
The event ended in an hour and the next batch of students will take over the duty while waiting patiently for their customers.

Anpanman mini album

Presenting to you my latest completed mini album. As mentioned in my previous post, I was searching for the suitable photos for Anpanman's album and manage to cut, organised and put it in.

Oh so happy when this is done. Pattern Papers use mainly Sassfrass and I also used some of my old stash and my favourite cloud punch stamp.

This is not a very diffcult album to make from scratch so probably I can make another one as gift for my friends in future.

This is the cover for the album. I couldn't decide what photos to place and what the title is and ended up with this look. Alpha used is from diecut=Johnny-KCK

This is first page of the album that is when we just reach the Anpanman land. It was so colourful and cute. I decided to cut out my nieces and nephew and their families as in they took the photo together. In fact only the children took the pic at the entrance.

This is the second page with the children taking pictures with the figurines. They made a lot of funny pose and it was hard to pick which one to put in. While making this page, I decided to print the photo twice to make a 2D visual look.

This is the last page of the album, getting a little tired and running out of ideas so it is pretty simple but still it is colourful.
I will be attending another class soon, this time it is using glimmer mist. Oooh I can't wait to spray and play around with it and of course getting messy.

Anpanman

Last weekend I attended a mini album class know as 'TWO' at Paper Market so now I am trying to seach for some cute photos to fill the album up. While looking around in my folders, I chance upon this cute photo of my niece and nephew.

This photo is not the size for my album but I would like to share this pic with everyone.
It is taken at Yokohama Anpanman Land. The entrance fee is 1,000yen and this allows you to access the playground, slide, anpanman show, gallery and lots of display. Definitely it is a good place to bring the children out for a fun filled day.

I shall write more about it when I am free. Need to go back and work on my album.

scrapbooking using some Elsie's stuff

Sometimes I really ponder should I intergrate this blog that is to talk about my nieces with my scrapbooking stuff. At one point opening another blog just on crafty means I have to update both reguarly if I can which equal to time consumption. I really admired those bloggers who can manage both the blog and work well.

However today I just want to show this very cute layout that I made sometimes back
Using Cosmo Cricket paper and Elsie Flannigan's craft kit. This kit is no longer available but
you can check out
Red Velvet shop for other scrapbooking kit that she offered.
The kit was meant for making a mini album but I feel that it matched pretty well with the layout so I quickly cut out all these cuties and placed it in the layout.

It is just so cute cute cute!!!!!I wanted to submit to the 2pea but thinking that it doesn't have the scrapbooking element in it, I decided to place it here in my blog for friends to view.

Hope this layout bring you some inspiration and a lovely day.

A day with Hi-five

This was a planned trip to bring the children to watch the popular stage performance Christmas with HI-5.

In order to make it for the photoshoot with the stars. We arrived an hour and a half earlier for the show. Despites been early still there are about 10 families in front of me, with that I knew we had secured a ticket to take a photo with the Hi-5 members.

The kids were very excited with the event. After we had entered the performance area, we still need to wait for another 30minutes or so for the members to perform. When it started, we can hear the children screaming, yelling and dancing to the music. The members danced and sang the christmas and hi-5's songs.

This is the picture taken with the hi-5 members. They were so happy and kept talking about it. And this picture cost SGD15.

do you have a facebook account?

Mummy of MM and WW had entered both of them to the Gap Casting Call contest.
Chances of been selected is not pretty high but still would like to step in and help my darling nieces to pull in some votes.

If you could go to this link, click Singapore and look for Chaw Min Min( can be found in page 2) and Chaw Win Win( can be found in page 1). Would really appreciate your help on that.

thanks!!!

This is pic of MM wearing Gap clothing with the Wing. She was very shy and nervous
during the whole event. Initially she refused all the clothings that was given to her and
insisted on her own dress. After much talking, she decided to put on this colour outfit which
match pretty well on her fair skin.

The worst part is she refused to smile and her sister WW was trying to snatch her dress and wing. A little commotion out there as the photographer and assistant were blur and not sure what was going on between the 2 sisters.

I have to tickle MM once a while to get this look and pretty happy how it turned out.

WW was a natural poser. She knows what she want and was able to accomodate the photographer request. Her shoot was very smooth and many poses was suggested to WW and this probably was the best the team has choosen.

So now these 2 picutures are been put up in the facebook for the contest.
if you could get your friends to help out, it would be great!!

Hopefully we can see MM and WW in all GAP stores in 2011!!
