Hello Koh Samui

I have been lazy and busy that I neglected this blog. There are lots of things that I like to blog about. Min Min's graduation, Min Min making some cute stuff , Win Win's new art work and Kate's concert performance. I am not sure when I can blog it but well let me share with you my Koh Samui Trip.

We had so much fun in a 3days 2 night adventure. Me and my friend Pat went for 3 massages, a pedi and manicure and tried out local food to fine dining. We also had a dip in the beach and pool.it's really fun and here are some photos that I took.

Our last night at Red Snapper. Great food and music though there was a little unhappy incident
we still love the place.

Our lovely hotel room 216. Bright and lovely with my favourite blue.

the beach was cool! it is icy cold and very very salty. ha ha.
We spent most of our time strolling at the beach.

While walking around, i managed to capture this 'love' shape cloud. Hope that make your day too!

I am not the winner

still I love the layout I created. There are sewing and paint on it.

It is my first time to stitch on it, it is not easy at all but definitely fun!

I may try again next time.

Did you notice that rabbit? I love it. so so cute. it is from the Pretty Little Studio series. MM also used it for her Teacher's Day card.

I think it could be better, so much better.....I try again next time.

making cards

it's the time of the day when the children say 'thank you' to the teachers.

On this special day, we decided to make some cards for the teachers

who have been teaching MM, WW and K.

It is so simple but well it took me a long time to get it done with them. Are you able to tell which is done by MM, WW or K?

I'm glad that some of this embellishment have been used.

It was with me for a long long time and I decided to let them have some fun.

Still my favourite has to be the rabbit and the girl which are from the Pretty Little Studio.Very vintage and it brings out a little cuteness of the character. The girls love it so much.

These cards has been given to their teacher respectively and surprisingly MM still came back today telling me that we still need to make one more for another teacher.

Look like another crafty session this weekend with the children.

did i told you how I celebrate my birthday?

A very late post on my birthday celebration.
July was the month and it was a very busy busy month for me.
This time MM's mum was going to throw her a 6 years old birthday bash
so it ended up that I was helping out with lots of stuff.

I turned down most of my friends' dinner invites and staying at home
to make some party decoration and last minutes shopping for more
crops and party stuff.

When her party is over, i was very relieved and slept for the weekend and laze around.
Of course catching up with my korean drama. I should post more about my drama craze in my next post.

On the actual day, i bought myself a chocolate cake for the children to eat.
My nieces and nephew are so excited and eager to celebrate the cakes with
the colourful candles.

They sang me a wonderful birthday song. And I guess they enjoy the process of singing
and the below pictures show it all. The children also enjoy blowing the candles. And Oh...
they are so fast i think i did not have the time to make a wish........My once a year thingy that I will do. Make a wish.....u know....Dreams come true right?

the very last step of the birthday celebration is the cake cutting ceremony. My all time favourite. But my nephew K is one step faster than me. He took the knife and cut the cake on my behalf. there it goes....he cut and ate the cake first. So whoses birthday is that?????Still I am thankful and greatful that I have 4 lovely nieces and nephew to be celebrate with me.

Also thankful to all my friends who took their precious time out to have dinner with me and those who bought me fabulous presents and sending me well wishes.

thanks you thank you thank you thank you .......

for the wonderful memories and remembering me !!!

Pretty Little Studio

I used the recycle box from the office and my favourite brand Pretty Little Studio to make this 6.9inchX6.9inch frame.

Instead of looking through all the pictures that I have in my harddrive, i just randomly picked one and decided to scrap this picture with these lovely pattern paper that I have been hoarding for a long long time.

At a close up, it's the cloud that had been cut out and ink it with distress ink.
I also punched some butterflies using Martha Steward punch. As for those cute
animals that are on the frame is from the Hopscotch series. I love cutting the animals
and arrange them .

At the bottom of the frame I punched a lot of circles, embross with 'heart'shapes
applied distress ink and add a few cuties on it. I also stamped a fawn and made some
flowers. Love the misting and folding. It could be better but for the time being this should
be good enough.

thanks you for looking. Do drop by Pretty Little Studio and grab some lovely vintage stuff!

Happy Birthday MM and Me

July 20 is the MM's 6th birthday!!! Happy birthday to you!!!
This little girl has grown so much and I can't believe it has been 6 years.
If I have the time would try to upload some of her younger pic in future.

We decided to take one of the mummy's advice to throw a party for her since next year
she will be primary one and it will be a different stage for her.

The party was held at Marina Bay residence at 27th floor with a great view.
theme of the party is Princess and activities will be art and craft.
I added on a tatoo session, a photo shoot session plus crafty.
However due to poor organisation and lack of coordination.
Everything was in such a mess.

This is what is captured by the photographer Alex:
MM looking serious doing her work. Love how she looks in this pic

We forgot to bring the lighter......oh no...so while the daddy is busy looking for one.
MM performed a little magic show with grandpa.

The messy place for the crafty sessin. Everyone are so excited and having fun making

their own bags and door hanger.

this is the photobooth. the shy girls and the board. I like it. Look how MM so happy.

The cake is really good. Many had second serving but I had a big piece.

MM loves the strawberries. I love the cream.

Glad the party had ended with many children satisfield. they took home their

door hanger and own design paper bag. Also a box of sweet, some souvenir and

a slice of delicious cake. As for the parents, hope they enjoy hanging around as much as the children.

my handmade frame

Upon request I had made a cute frame for someone. Are you able to guess how this frame look like? Have you spotted the girl?

The word 'Happy' is spelled using the rubon. there are a few 3D foam dots used on this frame.

Love the hot air balloon. Love the little deer as a small embellishment. cute cute cute.

When you combined all these picture together it form a very sweet frame. I will be making a few more soon. I want to try using those new pattern papers , stickers and punches that I bought. Now I need to find time.

thanks for viewing.

what happen?

I supposed to blog about my nieces and nephew activities here. Of course sharing my creativities once in a while. It seem like I have been been so addicted to my 'Korean drama' craze and also 'stalking' other bloggers that I totally abandoned this blog. I can't promise that I will be regularly blogging about them but definitely I will try my best to add in as much as possible so that one day when they grow up they will know how much fun they had during their childhood.

In the month of May, we were invited by one of a very close friend to 'Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa'
for a swim. It was a very hot hot day and this 'cooling' came in just a right time for the children
to have some fun. It is baby K first time in this pool and he was very adventurous to venture on his own sliding down and also playing the beach. Look at him, he is so happy playing with the water. This session last for a few hours (11am to 3pm). As expected they were a little tanned
after the session ended.

Another important event that happen in May was the General election. In order to pull more votes, one of the party came over to visit our block. The helpers came knocking at our door and requested us to 'stand by' for the 'minster'. I thought it was just a few minutes wait but it turn out to be 30minutes. Oh my they punished my mother by standing at the door and
entertaining the helpers which she could have just spend time doing other meaningful things.

finally the minister came and he shook my mother's hand and said, "Please vote for me." and walk away. Arrg.....what is that? I thought he might ask my mum her concern or talk another 2 minutes. The whole process was only a minutes and they made her stand for 30minutes. So well you might have guess who I would vote for now huh?

In April, It was grandpa's birthday and poor baby K had already slept for the day so
left with the 3 girls happily singing the birthday song and blowing the candles.
grandpa is the first to kickoff a birthday celebration at home. Next is aunty R
and in June we are looking foward to K&K's birthday celebration at Sentosa.

Hopefully I will be able to post something about the party next month soon.

a present for friend

Finally edited and arranged the photos which I had made for a friend who was here for business trip. We went to Sentosa for sightseeing but it was so hot so we stayed mainly indoor.

I took a few pictures and made it into a mini album.
stamps are mainly from Studio Calico and for paper it is a mixture of my leftover pattern paper that I used from the kit.

These are a few of my favourite pages that I had made:

Thanks for dropping by !

I adore buttons....

Finally I used the 'button making' tool to make some pretty cute buttons.
Those fabric are bought in Japan 2 years back, I just simple adore and hoarding it.
I didn't get a chance to use it till today.

Very very simple that makes me so happy.
I have no idea what I want to do with it yet.
probably as an accessories for the girls or for scrapbooking.

another crazy button fan is baby K. He know how to pronoun button and love to play with them

My newly bought Crate Paper button. K was more excited than me and requested me to open

up the package. He pour out all the button and try to put it back to the package again.

Look how serious he is playing with the buttons. He crack me up.
This is baby K new hobby , I wonder how long will this interest last him.

Happy Easter Day!

This is the second time we had a Easter celebration for the children.
I bought a basket of eggs from Marks and Spencer and hide all the chocolate
eggs in the 'park'.

It was really hilarious as the kids can see from above where I was hiding.
At the same time I was trying hard to prevent others passer by from taking the eggs away.
One dog almost wanted to pee at one of the eggs.

M was the winner for the egg hunting competition. Here she is showing off
the eggs she collected from her basket.

This is baby K first attempt on the egg hunting game. I guess he loves it so much.
Look at him picking up the eggs happily which we hide just for him. We tried to hide
at open space where he can see it easily.

Here is M showing him where the egg is. Look at the both of them having so much fun!

The egg hunting was a great success. The children wants more and well we shall have more fun in 2012 again.
